Data Center Electrical Construction

Utility-grade electrical construction for data centers. Redundant power feeds, multiple transformer and switchgear lineups, and massive cable plant. We understand Tier requirements and the critical nature of this work. MV cable, switchgear, transformers, duct bank, cable tray. We are not the design firm. We are the contractor that installs the electrical system. Our sister company, Ambrose Power Field Services, provides testing and commissioning. From the utility service entrance through the facility distribution, we build it right the first time.

Medium-Voltage Power Distribution

Redundant utility feeds in 2N and N+1 configurations. Main switchgear lineups, transformer banks from 2500kVA and above, and automatic transfer schemes. MV cable runs between buildings and between gear. We install the backbone that keeps the facility running. Multiple feeders, multiple paths, no single points of failure in the electrical distribution.

Our crews terminate MV cable with the same precision we bring to utility substation work. Stress cones, separable connectors, and load-break elbows installed per manufacturer specifications. Every termination tested and verified before energization.

Underground Infrastructure and Cable Plant

Duct bank, manholes, and vaults. Data centers require massive cable volumes and the underground infrastructure to support them. Concrete-encased conduit runs, pull boxes, and splice pits. We self-perform the civil and electrical scope rather than subcontracting it out.

Cable tray systems, ladder rack, and overhead routing throughout the facility. Fire-stop penetrations at every wall and floor crossing. Organized, labeled, and routed for future maintenance access. The cable plant is the circulatory system of the data center and we build it to last.

Critical Environment Construction

Zero tolerance for mistakes. Every connection matters. Clean, organized, labeled installations throughout the facility. We coordinate with the general contractor, the engineer of record, and the facility owner to maintain schedule and quality.

We build and turn over systems ready for testing and energization. Our construction crews install the electrical infrastructure exactly as the engineer specifies it. When the project requires it, our Field Services team handles testing and commissioning under one Ambrose Power contract.

Why Choose Ambrose Power for Data Centers

Utility-grade quality applied to commercial construction. Our crews come from the utility world where there is no tolerance for loose connections or sloppy work.
Self-performed underground and duct bank construction. One contractor for civil and electrical means fewer interfaces and fewer problems.
High cable volume experience. We have the equipment and the people to pull hundreds of cables on a compressed schedule.
Clean, organized, labeled installations. We build systems that are easy to maintain and easy to troubleshoot after turnover.
ISNetworld verified with a safety program built for critical environments
We coordinate with the GC, the engineer, and the owner. Our Field Services team can test and commission what our construction crews install.
