Field Operations

Oversees all field construction operations across the company's active projects. Manages General Foremen and Foremen. Ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. Serves as the primary link between the office and the field.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all field construction operations across multiple active projects
  • Manage and direct General Foremen and Foremen, ensuring proper crew staffing, productivity, and performance
  • Coordinate with Project Managers on project schedules, budgets, manpower requirements, and material needs
  • Plan and sequence construction activities to optimize crew and equipment utilization
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, client requirements, and applicable codes and standards
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
  • Coordinate manpower allocation and crew deployment across projects based on schedule demands
  • Identify and resolve field construction issues, conflicts, and delays

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
  • Extensive experience with substation construction, utility distribution, and/or industrial electrical projects
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage electrical construction methods, equipment, and safety practices
  • Knowledge of union hiring practices, collective bargaining agreements, and labor relations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously

General Foreman

Field Operations · Reports to General Manager / Superintendent

Oversees multiple crews and Foremen on assigned projects. Responsible for day-to-day field coordination including crew supervision, equipment deployment to job sites, material staging, and communication between the field and project management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct multiple Foremen and their crews on assigned projects
  • Coordinate daily work activities, crew assignments, and construction sequencing
  • Manage equipment deployment and utilization on assigned job sites
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and client requirements
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams to plan work execution

Crane and Rigging Coordinator

Field Operations · Reports to General Manager / Superintendent

Plans, coordinates, and oversees all crane operations and rigging activities across the company's active projects. Develops lift plans, ensures compliance with OSHA crane and rigging standards, and serves as the company's subject matter expert on crane selection, rigging hardware, and critical lift execution. Works directly with field supervision to ensure every lift is planned, communicated, and executed safely.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and review lift plans for all crane operations, including critical lifts for transformers, switchgear, steel structures, and poles
  • Determine crane selection, capacity requirements, and configuration for each lift based on load weight, radius, ground conditions, and site constraints
  • Review and approve rigging plans including sling selection, shackle sizing, spreader bar use, and load attachment points
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 Subpart CC (Cranes and Derricks in Construction) across all projects
  • Conduct pre-lift meetings with crane operators, riggers, signal persons, and field supervision
  • Perform site assessments for crane setup including ground bearing capacity, overhead clearance, swing radius, and proximity to energized lines
  • Maintain crane inspection and certification records; ensure all cranes meet annual and frequent inspection requirements
  • Verify operator qualifications and certifications per OSHA requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in crane operations and rigging in construction or heavy industrial environments, with at least 3 years in a coordinator or supervisory role
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA 1926 Subpart CC and ASME B30 standards
  • CCO (Certified Crane Operator) certification or NCCER Rigging certification preferred
  • Experience developing lift plans and calculating crane capacity, load charts, and rigging configurations
  • Knowledge of crane types used in electrical construction (crawler cranes, boom trucks, RT cranes, digger derricks)
  • Experience with critical lifts involving transformers, switchgear, and steel substation structures
  • Understanding of electrical hazards and minimum approach distances when operating cranes near energized lines

Project Manager / Estimator

Project Management

Responsible for both preconstruction estimating and full lifecycle management of electrical construction projects. Analyzes drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to develop cost estimates. Upon award, manages project cost, schedule, safety, quality, and completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for labor, equipment, and materials
  • Perform material takeoffs and develop cost estimates to meet proposal deadlines
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure optimal project value
  • Attend project scope meetings and site visits to validate labor and material pricing
  • Prepare scope clarifications, qualifications, and exclusions for proposals
  • Manage overall project cost, schedule, safety, quality, and completion from award through closeout

Safety Director

Safety · Reports to President

Provides strategic leadership over the company's entire safety program across all projects, divisions, and operating companies. Sets safety policy, establishes performance targets, manages the safety department, and represents the company on safety matters with clients, insurers, and regulatory bodies. Responsible for building and maintaining a safety culture that results in zero recordable incidents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the company's safety vision, policies, and strategic objectives across all operations
  • Direct the Safety Manager and Safety Coordinators; manage department staffing, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Set annual safety performance targets and track metrics including TRIR, DART, EMR, and leading indicators
  • Conduct executive-level reviews of incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans
  • Represent the company in client safety pre-qualification meetings, audits, and reviews
  • Maintain and manage relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party safety auditors

Safety Manager

Safety · Reports to Safety Director

Develops, implements, and oversees the company's safety program across all projects and operations. Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, client safety requirements, and company policies. Establishes the safety culture through training, auditing, incident management, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's written safety program, policies, and procedures

Safety Coordinator

Safety · Reports to Safety Manager

Supports the Safety Manager with a primary focus on managing plant access requirements, client pre-qualification processes, and field safety compliance. Ensures all employees and subcontractors meet safety training, badging, and documentation requirements for client facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage plant access and badging requirements for all employees and subcontractors across active job sites
  • Coordinate and maintain client-specific safety pre-qualification requirements (ISNetworld, Avetta, BROWZ)
  • Ensure all field personnel have current and compliant safety training, certifications, and site-specific orientations
  • Track and maintain employee training records, certifications, and expiration dates
  • Coordinate TWIC card applications and renewals

Procurement Manager

Procurement

Sources, purchases, and manages delivery of all materials and equipment required for construction projects. Works closely with Project Managers and field supervision to ensure materials are procured at competitive pricing and delivered on schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process for all project materials and equipment, from requisition through delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Solicit and evaluate bids and quotes from vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Issue purchase orders and track orders through delivery and receipt
  • Coordinate material delivery schedules with Project Managers and field supervision
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to identify procurement requirements
  • Track and manage long-lead items to prevent schedule impacts
  • Resolve material discrepancies, damaged shipments, and returns with vendors

Controller

Accounting / Finance

Oversees all financial operations including financial reporting, job cost accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance. Directs the accounting department and ensures the financial health of the company is accurately tracked and reported.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage job cost accounting, including Work-In-Progress (WIP) reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, and project profitability analysis
  • Monitor and control project costs against budget, identifying variances and communicating findings to project management
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, retainage tracking, and billing status across all active projects

AP/AR Clerk

Accounting / Finance · Reports to Controller

Handles accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the company. Processes vendor invoices, manages outgoing payments, prepares progress billings, tracks receivables, and maintains accurate financial records to support project accounting and cash flow management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process vendor and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and proper approval
  • Code invoices to appropriate job cost codes, general ledger accounts, and cost categories
  • Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (three-way match)
  • Process weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Track and process subcontractor pay applications, including verification of lien waivers and compliance documentation
  • Prepare and submit progress billings, AIA pay applications, and invoices per contract terms
  • Track and follow up on outstanding receivables and aging balances
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to gather billing backup, including approved change orders and completed work documentation

Administration

Oversees daily office operations and provides administrative support to management and project teams. Ensures the office runs efficiently and supports the needs of field and project management personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily office operations including reception, mail distribution, and phone management

HR Coordinator

Human Resources

Coordinates human resources functions including employee onboarding, benefits administration, employee records management, and compliance with employment regulations. Serves as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries and supports the development of a productive and compliant workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle onboarding for new hires including offer letters, background checks, drug screening, and orientation scheduling
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA

Operations Support

Oversees warehouse operations, yard and storage facilities, and logistics dispatching. Manages shipping and receiving personnel, coordinates dispatch of drivers hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites.

Equipment Manager

Operations Support

Manages maintenance and tracking of all company-owned construction equipment and tools. Ensures equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and available to support project needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's full inventory of construction equipment and tools
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all equipment
  • Track equipment location, condition, utilization, and availability across all projects
  • Coordinate with field supervision and General Foremen on equipment needs and assignments
  • Manage equipment inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and manufacturer requirements
  • Oversee equipment repairs, coordinating with the Mechanic and outside service providers
  • Manage equipment rental agreements when supplemental equipment is required
  • Evaluate equipment needs and make recommendations for purchases, replacements, and disposals

Fleet Manager

Operations Support

Manages the company's fleet of trucks, trailers, and licensed road vehicles. Ensures all fleet vehicles are properly maintained, registered, insured, and DOT compliant.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's full fleet of trucks, trailers, and road vehicles
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly registered, licensed, insured, and DOT compliant

Mechanic

Operations Support · Reports to Equipment Manager

Performs maintenance, repairs, and inspections on construction equipment, fleet vehicles, trucks, and trailers. Ensures all equipment and vehicles are in safe, reliable working condition to support field operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on equipment and vehicles
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify needed repairs before equipment is deployed to job sites
  • Perform DOT-required inspections and maintenance on regulated vehicles and trailers
  • Maintain and repair small tools and specialty construction equipment as needed
  • Respond to emergency breakdown calls in the yard or at job sites as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed
  • Manage parts inventory and order replacement parts as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic working on construction equipment, heavy trucks, or fleet vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance
  • Familiarity with DOT inspection requirements
  • Must provide own basic hand tools

IT Manager

Operations Support

Manages the company's technology infrastructure, systems, and support. Oversees network and hardware management, software administration, cybersecurity, and end-user support across office and field environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including networks, servers, workstations, and mobile devices
  • Administer and support company software systems including ERP/accounting software, project management tools, and communication platforms
  • Provide technical support to office and field personnel
  • Manage cybersecurity measures including firewalls, antivirus, data backup, and disaster recovery planning
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technology solutions
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and software licensors
  • Oversee procurement and deployment of IT hardware and equipment
  • Support field technology needs including mobile devices, tablets, GPS systems, and telematics platforms
  • Manage IT budgets and track technology-related expenses

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of IT management experience, preferably in construction or similar industries
  • Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience with ERP systems and construction-specific software
  • Experience supporting both office and remote/field technology environments
  • Relevant IT certifications preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)
